Every QMUL student is automatically a member of the Union and has a say in how it is run through elections and their representatives.

The Union provides a number of student-run activities, like sports clubs, societies, student media and volunteering. The Students’ Union has over 300 diverse student groups to join, and offers the opportunity to develop your interests, gain skills and make new friends. They also run social spaces, a sport and fitness centre, shops, cafes, events, bars and restaurants where you can meet up with friends, take a break or grab something to eat.

Students studying at Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry are members of both Barts and The London Students' Association (BLSA) and Queen Mary Students' Union.

BLSA has its own set of representatives, societies and sports clubs, and its own building on the Whitechapel Campus, which is home to The Griff Inn (the BLSA's eatery), multi-faith space, games room, dance studio and the BLSA offices.

You can meet representatives from both Students' Unions at our Mile End and Whitechapel campuses.
