At Queen Mary, you get the safety and security of campus life, while living in one of the most exciting parts of London.
The Mile End campus has great facilities, is very beautiful and green, and is located alongside the Regent's Canal and the Mile End Park.— Antonia Papoutsi, Biomedical Sciences BSc 2019
Our medicine and dentistry students have their own campus at Whitechapel, next to the Royal London Hospital. Whitechapel is a vibrant area, famous for its street market, variety of curry houses and the Whitechapel Gallery. The campus has its own library, state-of-the-art labs at the Blizard Institute and a Students Union with a cafe, bar, computers and bookshop. But you can also use all the facilities at the Mile End campus, which is ten minutes up the road.
Situated in the heart of the City of London, our Charterhous Square campus is home to the Barts Cancer Institute, the William Harvey Research Institute and the Wolfson Institute of Preventive Medicine. You’ll be near to the Barbican Arts Centre, the Museum of London and other famous London landmarks.
Most of Queen Mary’s postgraduate law students are based in our Lincoln’s Inn Fields campus in Holborn. This area is the historic legal centre of London, near to the Royal Courts of Justice. It’s also close to Covent Garden and the West End of London.
Our West Smithfield campus is for medicine and dentistry students. It includes St Bartholomew's hospital (Barts) and the West Smithfield Medical Library. It also has some of Queen Mary’s cardiovascular, cancer, epidemiology and public health research facilities.
Having a campus is amazing, especially within London. It’s like you’re in your own little bubble while the whole city goes on around you.— Liam Hartley, Physics MSci 2019
